With thebow dedicated to St. Charles the dedicated chapels end to the Joyful Mysteries. This arch was made with the living stone of Brenno Useria. The arch of San Carlo introduces the Sorrowful Mysteries. At the top of it we find the statue of Holy cardinal sculpted by Carlo Antonio Buono in 1651. Shortly before the Arch, on the right, there is the second fountain (1654).

Immediately after the arch we find the sixth chapel, called the Oration in the Garden of Olives. Inside we find nine statues created by Silva, while the frescoes are by Bartolomeo Ghiandone. The chapel is oriented to North, letting the light in at an angle and creating a nocturnal effect. Thanks to this effect, the statue of Judas is surrounded by a sinister shadow.
